Springtime is a very pleasant season, and temperatures in March range from 16° to 25°C (60° to 77°F).

Transportation

Authorized Taxis

Taxi services are located at the international and domestic airport entrances at Terminals 1 and 2. In both cases, taxi tickets are sold near the arrival gates and in the walkway area. Rates are posted in a visible place and are authorized by the Communications and Transportation Secretary (SCT).

To ensure safety, visitors are recommended to use only taxi services that are authorized by this airport.

Taxis operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year at both terminals.

Health Requirements

Depending on your country of origin and/or home country you might be required to show a certificate of certain vaccines, such as, yellow fever, COVID, or measles.

Currency

The Mexican Peso is the currency of Mexico (MXN). $1 USD is equivalent to approximately $20 MXN. You can find several currency exchange and banks at the airport, though exchanges rates at the airport may be less favorable than rates offered by the bank.

Most commercial outlets, such as restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, apparel stores, etc. in Mexico city take credit or debit cards as form of payment. Some may even accept US dollars. However, you might want to carry some MXN cash with you for tips. Paying tips in cash is common practice.

Language

Mexico’s official language is Spanish. However, people working in the tourism sector usualy have some English knowledge and they are very willing to help you!
